If you are a user of the older Insteon for Hub app, and you are using a Hub 2 (2245-222), I would like to introduce you to the newer version of the app that comes with several great enhancements:

• The app has been completely redesigned to provide a simplified home management experience.
• Bold tiles on a dynamic background make it easy to access your devices and scenes quickly.
• New one-touch actions allow you to control multiple devices from a single screen.
• Adding favorites is now as simple as tapping a single icon.

The new app also brings additional features to Insteon, including:

• A Schedules view that provides a clear overview of what's happening in your home throughout the day.
• Sunrise and sunset offsets for schedules, so your scenes can occur up to 4 hours before or after the sun goes up or down in your local area.
• Sensor check-in tracking, which notifies you when it's time to check the battery or other communication issues for supported sensors.

One of the most significant improvements is the overall speed of the app. From logging in to navigating between screens, you can expect a faster and more fluid experience. Device statuses display quickly, eliminating the need to wait for each individual device to update. Creating and editing scenes has also been vastly improved, with updates now taking seconds instead of minutes depending on scene complexity.

Before diving into the new mobile app, here are some quick points to know:

• Faster time from launch to device control – Depending on the device, you can now be in control in less than 3 seconds from launching the app.
• Faster scene creation – In some cases, scene creation can be up to 80% faster, depending on the complexity of the scene.
• Easier scheduling – Schedule multiple devices for the same time without the need for scene creation.
